EMBER
Arkansas River Red Hot Ember / SR92104106
Ember was born February 27, 2016, and we acquired her from a wonderful hobby breeder in Utah. She boasts an impressive pedigree with several titled hunting dogs in her bloodline. Her sire was a small, red, very accomplished hunting dog. Her dam was a very deep red, almost brown color, and was also a good hunting dog. One of Ember's brothers from the same litter has achieved a Senior Hunter title at only 15 months old. She also has a couple of close relatives successfully trained for search and rescue in the treacherous, snowy terrain of the Rockies. Ember is a very natural retriever and it took little to no practice teaching her to fetch a ball. She is extremely intelligent and has been the easiest dog to train. She does have a lot of energy, but is also very laid back when she needs to be and she's an excellent cuddle buddy! She's very well behaved and we are totally impressed with both her personality and trainability. We intended to have her evaluated as a therapy dog, but she went into heat and couldn't evaluate. However, she aced the practice evaluation we did with her, so besides knowing from experience how easy she is to train and how driven she is for retrieving, we're also confident in her other abilities beyond hunting. We love to see her puppies going to homes where they will be used for hunting or other types of work because we expect them to have tons of potential! She's already got a couple of great young hunting pups out in the world!
Update: We officially retired Ember and she's my very loyal baby, so she's living out her life with me in Huntsville. She is one of the best dogs I have ever owned and I love her dearly!
